Gretchen Hancock

Gretchen Hancock is a painter who works primarily in oils. She is attracted to the way light transforms the ordinary into something extraordinary and turns the everyday into something dramatic.

Gretchen studied at the University of Nebraska where she graduated with a BFA and majored in ceramics. She has since painted in watercolors, pastels and acrylics as well as oils. She has taught at the community college level, and has exhibited and won awards in local and national shows.
